CIRCLE DESCRIPTION

While original ideas are still being made, IP is more popular than ever and continues to have a huge impact on the industry. If you want to know more about how to work with IP and IP-Creators, then this circle might be the right fit for you. From novels to podcasts, comics to video games, we’ll explore a range of mediums and genres that I’ve worked with during my career as a TV/Film development executive and creative producer. We’ll discuss why studios depend so much on IP, how IP is sourced, and dive into the development process, focusing on what is required to create a TV show or film from source material. Mentees will also have the chance to discuss what we can learn from the successes and failures of fan-favorite properties. This circle is designed to give you an overview of the IP process and will set you up to know how to start working with IP yourself. Please note this circle is not a place to receive specific legal advice or to develop your original IP.
