CIRCLE DESCRIPTION
Ever wonder what actually happens after you pitch your idea? Or how to even get yourself in a position to pitch an idea in the first place? Curious to understand why some projects seem to move super quickly and others just stall out and go nowhere? Would you like to know how to talk to development executives in a way that actually helps them help you? Then this circle might be for you!Ā
Demystifying Development is designed for creators of all types who want to build stronger working relationships with execs and better understand whatās happening on the other side of the table.
By the end of the term, youāll:
- Understand what development executives are really jugglingāand how that impacts timelines, feedback, and decision-making.
- Learn how to āwear the exec hatā while pitching, so you can anticipate the kinds of questions theyāll askāand answer them in ways that move things forward.
- Practice translating creative ideas into pitch language that helps execs visualize the project, advocate for it internally, and move it through the pipeline.
- Get insight into what executives wish creators knewāfrom common mistakes to opportunities for standing out.
- Develop strategies for building and maintaining relationships with execs, even when youāre not actively pitching.
- Build confidence in your ability to have creative-business conversations that feel collaborative, not transactional.
This circle is ideal for creatives who are actively developing projects and want to pitch more effectively, understand the business side of development, and build lasting, strategic partnerships with executives.
