CIRCLE DESCRIPTION
This circle is for anyone passionate about being a producer and interested in learning more about what the job is really like, and what it takes to be successful in the role!
In this mentorship circle, we’ll talk about:
– The many multi-faceted aspects of producing. What does it take?
– How to develop the experience, knowledge, and skillsets, that are crucial for the role.
– The main focus will be on producing for animated features, but we will also touch on series and even short films as well.
– How to cultivate the mindset and approach to a job that has no complete job description and is constantly evolving
This circle is good for people of different backgrounds in animation who have a passion for learning more about producing. Production Staff, Development Execs, or Production Execs are the most common tracks to a producer role. However, those from less traditional tracks (i.e. animators, animation editors, art directors, etc.) and the desire to lead in this capacity, are welcome to apply!

Peilin Chou
Peilin Chou is an Academy Award nominated producer whose most notable animated feature producing credits include: Netflix’s OVER THE MOON (Oscar, Golden Globe and Children’s BAFTA nominated), Netflix’s THE MONKEY KING, and DreamWorks’ ABOMINABLE. Peilin also has decades of experience as a content executive, having held creative leadership roles at Walt Disney Feature Animation, DreamWorks Animation, Pearl Studio, and Nickelodeon.
