CIRCLE DESCRIPTION

This circle is for anybody looking to make their storyboard portfolio stand out. How? By using your personal story to make sequences that only you could make. This circle will cover both the creative and technical aspects of storyboarding through the lens of who you are as an artist and person.

But we’ll specifically cover:

  •  Crafting your Personal Story : How to write a memorable script that displays your personality AND gives you a chance to visually show off what you’re good at storyboarding.
  • Boarding your Personal Story : How to take that script and start boarding! We’ll discuss how to use reference to inspire a starting point for your personal board.
  • Using the Camera Like Only You Can : Most Directors have a personal style. They use the camera in ways that brings their personality to the forefront. But ONLY when the material demands it! So… we’ll discuss how to do that!
  • Visual Presentation With A Flair : A storyboard portfolio has to have a website these days, right? We’ll discuss how to bring your personality to the presentation.
  • Pitching Your Sequence, And Yourself! : Pitching is an incredibly powerful way to make your work and yourself memorable. We’ll cover the basics of pitching a sequence with your own personal flair.

The goal for this circle is to end up with one sequence that came from your heart and soul and makes you proud.
