THIS CIRCLE IS PERFECT FOR

  • Highly-motivated aspiring writers
  • Writers who have written at least one script and have at least three rough ideas to choose from that they would like to develop or at least discuss during the circle

WHAT TO EXPECT

  • Seminar style: 50% creative and 50% business education
  • A place where writers can learn about the industry and have fun developing creative ideas

WHAT NOT TO EXPECT

  • Don’t expect representation or to sell your project
    (DO expect to learn HOW to do those things)
  • Don’t expect circle Q&A guest speakers to be your new best friend (DO expect to gain valuable information from them)

CIRCLE DESCRIPTION

This fast-paced, hands-on crash course circle is designed to give you the foundational tools you need to get ready to land your first animation writing gig.

During the circle, you’ll build a basic understanding of how to pitch a show, write an animated pilot, read a contract, and network strategically to land that first assignment.

Each two-hour session includes:

  • One hour of focused workshop time to build your skills in pitching, writing, or navigating the business
  • One hour of live Q&A with professional writers, execs, and industry insiders sharing real talk on how things actually work
