CIRCLE DESCRIPTION
In creative and multicultural environments, it’s easy for meaning to get lost — not because we don’t speak, but because we’re not always heard. When we feel misunderstood or unable to express ourselves clearly, it can lead to frustration, loneliness, and even impact our mental health. That’s why mastering communication is so important.
Lost in Translation is a mentorship circle focused on one of the most powerful skills in any industry: knowing how to talk so others listen — and how to listen so others feel heard.
Through real-world scenarios, open conversations, and practical tools, we’ll explore what makes communication work across cultures, roles, and personalities. This is about more than soft skills – it’s about building understanding, trust, and clarity into everything you do. We will shine a light on how different backgrounds shape communication styles and how to bridge those gaps.
Together we will explore how roles and personalities influence the way we connect and collaborate. We will do practical exercises that reflect challenges you might face in diverse and creative workplaces. We will learn and experience hands-on techniques and frameworks to help you express yourself clearly and listen deeply.
I am looking forward to creating a space with you where you can share experiences, ask questions, and learn from others.

Circle Leader

Natalia Lasota
I am an accomplished Producer with over 15 years of international experience in animation, VFX, and advertising. I led high-profile projects for studios such as Mikros Animation, DNEG, and Netflix, overseeing complex multi-site productions across Europe, North America, and Asia.
During my career I had a chance to work both on the project side where I would focus on budgeting, scheduling, and team leadership, and on the studio side where building client relationships, navigating cross-cultural teams, and driving creative visions from pitch to delivery were key. Through working with people from all over the world – across departments, cultures, and time zones – I’ve learned that successful production depends on more than just a good schedule. It’s about understanding different backgrounds, creating space for clear and respectful feedback, and helping teams build strong communication habits. I love guiding that process and creating the kind of collaborative environment where creative work can thrive.
