CIRCLE DESCRIPTION

Are you a writer or someone who aspires to write for animation? Are you in search of a community of writers that you can learn from and interact with as you hone your craft? If so, this could be the circle for you.

Mentor Chris Perry, co-author of the 2022 book SceneWriting: The Missing Manual for Screenwriters, seeks to create a supportive space for writers to discuss the art of screenwriting and workshop their in-progress scenes together.

The circle will meet every two weeks. For each meeting, one or more mentees will bring a scene that will be read aloud and then discussed amongst the group.

Mentees can expect lots of discussion about writing and multiple opportunities to workshop their own scenes. By the end of the circle, mentees will have leveled up their writing craft and will also have gained experience soliciting/giving/receiving critique in a group setting.
